tharaka where the hell have you been! i didn't tell you about my new focusing screen man. here lemme find a link: [link] (its a yahoo group) its $70 USD. its pretty cool, i haven't gotten a chance to use it much but its a good addition. it beats that POS original focusing screen (the one with the 7 af points)

wtf, how does that work?

my friend who takes pictures with me has one of these focusing screens (the same type) for his nikon film camera. you rotate your 'manual focus ring' until the two 'pictures' on the screen line up. its more normal than what we have on our camera because what we have is just a rangefinder with no actual manual focusing what so ever
